Vinyl is of low cost in comparison to other available materials. Moreover, it is the ideal material to be used for construction serves as the best and effective material than the other materials such as iron, and copper. It can be made softer and flexible by adding plasticizers so that can be used in clothing and upholstery, electrical cable insulation inflatable products and in many other similar applications where it completely replaces rubber. Vinyl is most commonly used in printing as it ensures high quality of printing. Vinyl products are known for their durability, thermal efficiency, color retention, resistance to corrosion, ease of cleaning, safety and recyclability. One of the most common usages of vinyl is banners. Banners are made up from exclusively fine vinyl. Vinyl comes in different sizes, colors and shapes.

As a matter of fact, vinyl comes in different forms and types. Translucent vinyl is the similar type of vinyl. It is especially modified in such a way to provide ultra superior strength and ultraviolet resistance. However, this particular vinyl has less pigment in comparison to the vinyl. Thus, translucent vinyl is slightly lighter than the regular one. Translucent vinyl is highly flexible, durable, resistance against moisture, and overall has high performance. However, the translucent cast vinyl film is especially formulated to suit the architectural graphic applications that involve flexible as well as rigid backlit signage and the awning as well as window graphics. This vinyl adheres to a wide range of properly prepared substrates that maintains consistent color under both reflected and transmitted light. This range of vinyl range is designed for illuminated signage or where light is needed to penetrate via the graphic so the color shows through properly. Some of these films may also be used with thermoforming backlit applications. This vinyl is semi transparent and used mainly for light box displays. These are ideal for most sheets on press applications as backside of sheet is printable. Translucent vinyl is used in nameplates product, ID labels and matte over laminate.
